Job Overview: The Engineering Technician will support the design, assembly, and optimization of electric motor systems within a research and development (R&D) environment. This position is responsible for hands‑on assembly, process improvement, and supporting engineering initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble electric motors and related components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Identify, refine, and document assembly processes to improve efficiency, safety, and consistency.
• Manage and maintain parts and materials inventory to ensure smooth development and testing flow.
• Support testing, data collection, and technical troubleshooting for engineering and R&D projects.
• Maintain organized work spaces, tools, and documentation to support rapid prototyping and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical or electrical assembly preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Familiar with engineering drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in using basic hand tools, measurement instruments, and test equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Work Environment: This position operates in a research and development (R&D) facility, focused on prototype design, testing, and process innovation. The technician will perform hands‑on assembly and experimentation in a collaborative engineering lab setting.
