Escrow Officer

Join us as an Escrow Officer at Flying S Title & Escrow, a subsidiary of Title Financial Corporation (TFC). The position is located in Bozeman, MT and is part-time.

Responsibilities
  • Manage escrow files from receipt through completion, including construction escrow accounts and basic commercial and residential accounts.
  • Assist in preparing more complex escrow transactions, curative matters, and title exceptions.
  • Conduct all stages of the transaction to ensure smooth and efficient closings and complete pre‑ and post‑closing tasks.
  • Meet with attorneys, realtors, lenders, and customers to review and draft escrow instructions and agreements.
  • Check title commitments and tax certificates for accuracy, outstanding liens, exceptions, or other title problems.
  • Set up accurate escrow files, including initial filing, deposits, and all relevant documents.
  • Prepare for closing by requesting pay‑off statements, figuring loans, lien releases, insurance, legal records, and necessary documents.
  • Execute closing documents on and off the company’s premises and approve finalized closing statements.
  • Communicate and send lender packages according to closing instructions.
  • Disburse funds according to standard accounting procedures and client/lender requirements.
  • Manage and administer trust accounts.
  • Address questions and concerns from realtors, attorneys, buyers, and sellers regarding insurance, taxes, title work, foreclosures, and legal documents.
  • Input, access, and retrieve data relevant to closings.
  • Review, execute, and distribute finalized policies and closings.
  • Develop and maintain a client base through effective marketing.
  • Communicate with employees and customers by phone, in person, or by correspondence.
  • Support corporate core values, purpose, goals, and culture.
  • Operate a company vehicle or personal vehicle.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience as an Escrow Officer, Escrow Assistant, or related role.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Excellent sales and marketing skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and request assistance when needed.
  • Basic to advanced computer skills, including Google Workspace and related software.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a producer license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days) – MT only.
  • Must have a notary license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days).
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced environment.
