Commercial Relationship Manager

About the Role

The Commercial Relationship Manager will actively pursue existing and potential clients by supporting the development of high quality customer relationships. Identifying customer needs through profiling the customer to attain appropriate services and products. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public and other employees. Self-starter with ability to adapt to change, work under pressure and attention to detail.

This position requires great customer service skills, positive attitude and expressed enthusiasm.

• Obtain loan applications, properly counsel applicants, analyze financial and related data, determine appropriate pricing and loan structure and make appropriate loan decisions according to bank policies.

Represent First Security Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Review all credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, title insurance commitments and appraisals to ensure all documentation is complete and correct.

• Monitor and act appropriately on past due loans to insure compliance with the bank’s policies and goals.
• Active in calling on existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations in order to professionally represent the bank and insure its continued good standing and growth in the communities we serve.
• Develop profitable relationships with new and existing customers.
• Maintain high service standards for all customers internal and external.
• Work to expand and support the banks market share consistent with First Security Bank’s goals and policies.
• Actively participate in the bank’s call program by contacting existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations, ensuring the bank’s continued good standing and growth in the community.

Complete required bank and OnCourse training courses within assigned time frame(s). Participate in and promote Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of First Security Bank. Various other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

• Regular and predictably attendance to accomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with customers.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Employees are required to actively use the service pledge in all customer encounters.

• Education and Experience:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related filed, or equivalent commercial lending knowledge gained though a combination or education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years successful commercial lending experience preferred.

• The applicant must have commercial lending knowledge and experience.
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. Represent the bank in a positive manner at all times.
• Must have an understanding of all bank functions and operations.
• Must possess exceptional grammar, punctuation, and spelling with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in editing and proofreading with the ability to produce high-quality, error-free content.
