Position: Critical Care Paramedic- Interfacility Transport Team (IFT) (FT- 0.9 FTE, Variable Shift)
The Critical Care Transport Paramedic (CCTP) provides advanced inter-facility patient care in the prehospital setting from initial contact until care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility. The CCTP maintains thorough patient care documentation of assessment and intervention throughout the entire transport and will practice within the scope of practice as defined by the State of Montana and Bozeman Health Emergency Services Protocols.

The CCTP will demonstrate proficient clinical knowledge and competency of psychomotor skills during transport and will maintain through and active participation in ongoing advanced skills laboratories and hand-on clinical exercises. The CCTP will serve as a clinical role model and resource to resolve complex situations and patient care issues and participate in improvement activities and problem-solving projects as assigned by the leadership team.

The CCTP will communicate safety concerns to leadership team. Additionally, the CCTP will serve as point for contact for educational needs of customers and service area while delivering stellar customer service to both internal and external customers.
As a Critical Care Transport Paramedic on our transport team, you will be part of a dedicated team providing advanced care to critically ill patients in need of advanced services. Our team is comprised of an EMT/AEMT, Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic, and a Critical Care Nurse. Our fully functional ground ambulance is equipped with essential tools for advanced care including full monitoring with invasive hemodynamic values, specialized equipment such as Hamilton T1 ventilator, iSTAT, Medtronic pacemaker, High flow Nasal Cannula, IV pump, a vast number of medications, ability to operate VAD, Impella, IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump).

* Position Summary:

** The Paramedic – Interfacility Transport delivers advanced and critical care during interfacility transports for high-acuity patients, from initial contact through handoff at the accepting facility. Working within the State of Montana scope of practice and Bozeman Health Emergency Services protocols, the Paramedic partners with the Transport Registered Nurse to assess, treat, and monitor patients while maintaining a safe transport environment.

The role ensures clear communication with dispatch and care teams, complete and accurate documentation, and consistent readiness of transport equipment and the ambulance.

* Qualifications:

* Required:

*** Graduate of an accredited paramedic program.
* Current State of Montana Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic license.
* Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP – National Registry Paramedic) certification.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and PHTLS.
* Valid Montana driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).Preferred:
* Three (3) years of paramedic experience in 9-1-1 EMS or an emergency department setting.
* International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) credentials: CCP-C, FP-C, CP-C, or MTSP-C.
* Previous interfacility transport experience.
* Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) and/or VFIS driver training.
* FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) training: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.
* Completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
* Completion of the Difficult Airway Course.

* Collaborate with the Registered Nurse partner to establish the plan of care; coordinate and deliver advanced/critical care interventions per protocol and medical direction.
* Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret diagnostics, and continually reassess patient status; adjust interventions to meet transport goals and changing conditions.
