Key Responsibilities

• - Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions and physician orders.
• - Review prescriptions for accuracy, interactions, and appropriateness.
• - Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
• - Monitor patient drug therapies and recommend interventions.
• - Maintain accurate inventory and records of controlled substances.
• - Provide immunizations and health screenings.
• - Administer health services (blood pressure, temperature, glucose checks).
• - Collaborate with physicians on medication optimization.
• - Report adverse reactions and medication issues.

• - Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• - State pharmacy licensure required.
• - CPR/BLS certification.
• - Pass NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination).

• - Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from ACCPT-accredited pharmacy school (4 years).
• - Minimum 1,260 hours (500+ hours) pharmacy practice experience/internship.
• - Pass NAPLEX exam with required score.
• - Pass state-specific law exam.
• - Pharmacist registration with state board.
