Job SummarySAV is growing and is in search of a technical Sales Support Engineer to assist the Sales team in expediting client presentation deliverables such as proposals, estimates, and drawings.
Essential Job Functions- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored technology solutions that best fit their needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, including system design recommendations, product selection, and cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed system proposals, drawings, and documentation for client presentations.
- Work closely with the design team to align standards and processes.
- Offer technical expertise during the sales process by demonstrating products, conducting presentations, and responding to RFPs.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and technical documentation related to product offerings.
- Support training efforts for the sales team on technical aspects of AV solutions.
- Understand competitors’ products and market trends to effectively position our offerings.
- Provide ongoing technical support to customers during and after the sales process to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure access to the latest products and best pricing.
- Typical work schedule is 8:00 – 5:00 (Mountain) but will require response outside of normal hours.
- Applicant will be accountable to and report to the Sales Director.
- Strong technical knowledge of residential automation systems, home networking, security systems, and audiovisual solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for technology and staying updated with the latest trends in home automation and integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, sales engineering, or a related role within the technology integration or residential technology industry.
- Clean driving record.
- Experience with project management and familiarity with installation processes in a residential setting.
- Certified in relevant technologies or systems (e.g., CEDIA, Crestron, Savant, Control4, Lutron etc.).
- Formal and specialized paid training to increase your technological knowledge base.
