Our client is building AI-enabled products with small, cross-functional teams. As the Release Train Engineer, you will own how work flows through one program by making work visible, protecting team capacity, clearing blockers, and turning business priorities into small, deliverable pieces. You will partner with a Product Lead and a Technical Lead and lead through facilitation, coaching, and flow expertise.

We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $75.00 to $85.00/hr. w2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

Responsibilities
  • Run the system of work by establishing and improving the program Kanban, WIP limits, and clear readiness and done criteria while avoiding unnecessary ceremonies.
  • Translate intent into executable work by partnering with product and business leaders to break outcomes into small, testable epics that teams pull based on capacity.
  • Clear the path by surfacing and resolving risks, dependencies, and blockers across data access, integrations, and review queues.
  • Embed AI readiness into delivery by planning evaluation, human review, monitoring, and support as first-class work.
  • Facilitate decisions through planning, syncs, demos, and retrospectives focused on evidence, forecasts, and trade-offs.
  • Grow team autonomy by coaching leaders and teams to make sound local decisions that reduce reliance on central coordination.
Experience Requirements
  • Proven Release Train Engineer or equivalent senior multi-team Agile leadership with measurable improvements in flow, predictability, and quality.
  • Expertise in Kanban, Scrumban, and Lean flow including WIP limits, cycle time, aging work, and dependency management.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to challenge unrealistic commitments and guide trade-offs with senior leaders.
  • Adaptive approach that scales down large-framework practices to fit small teams and continuous planning.
  • Working knowledge of AI delivery across data, model evaluation, human review, integration, and monitoring.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience across business, product, technology, vendors, and risk or controls.
  • Nice to have: experience in financial services or regulated industries, launching new small teams, multi-vendor coordination, and SAFe RTE, Kanban, or coaching certifications.
Benefits
  • W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
