Associate Attorney

The Law Office of Christopher J Gillette, a Bozeman Montana law firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our litigation team.

Our firm focuses exclusively on complex family law including child custody litigation, Hague Convention proceedings, high asset divorce, adoption, and post-decree matters. Associate Attorneys are encouraged to develop their own complimentary areas of practice in accordance with their interests and law firm needs.

• Conducting thorough factual investigation and legal research necessary to develop litigation strategies, including development of dispositive motions.
• Drafting legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Representing clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations as required.
• Staying updated on changes in laws and regulations pertaining to areas of practice.
• Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support in complex legal matters.
• Maintaining organized case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Maintaining compliance with the firm's billable hour expectation of 1850 hours per year.
• Taking actions to recruit and retain cases appropriate for the firm and contribute to the growth of the practice group.

Requirement:
Applicants must have a Montana Bar License or the ability to obtain one.
