Overview
Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) is a private, nonprofit organization that inspires young people through hands‑on conservation service. MCC offers crew‑based programming that uses natural resource and community service projects to foster personal and crew development. This Field & Fuels Crew Member (Ameri Corps State/National) position begins on 05/11/2026 and ends on 10/16/2026
. The program provides leadership development to leaders and members while focusing on supporting community engagement.
- Assist in the completion of MCC natural resource projects, including maintaining trails, treating invasive species, building fences, and operating chainsaws to reduce wildfire risks by thinning trees.
- Camp for most of the term, often in remote locations, and work on varied terrain and in all weather conditions.
- Participate in natural disaster relief deployments when required.
- Education award upon successful completion of the service period.
- Living allowance and stipend.
