Bozeman Health is seeking a registered nurse to serve as a Nurse Navigator in the Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic. The Nurse Navigator collaborates with providers and clinical areas to coordinate service, ensure quality of care and facilitate a smooth transition for patients from clinic to procedural and outpatient treatment areas. The role also involves patient and family education and supports timely scheduling of appointments, diagnostic testing, and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
  • Montana Registered Nurse licensure
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience
  • Preferred:
    Certification in a specialty area
  • Preferred: 3 years of direct patient care experience
Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate patient care and communication among providers, schedulers, nursing, infusion, radiology, lab, and other departments.
  • Track incidental radiological/laboratory findings and follow up with patients as needed.
  • Order, schedule, and facilitate selected procedures and treatments.
  • Collaborate with clinic and specialty teams to ensure coordinated services and positive provider interactions.
  • Assist with survivorship care planning.
  • Educate patients to ensure they understand all aspects of their care plan.
  • Gather medical records from non‑licensed staff and collaborate to improve care processes.
  • Document patient encounters and triage phone messages in EMR.

Schedule Requirements
  • Regular and sustained attendance required.
  • May require work beyond a 40‑hour week, including weekends and after‑hours shifts.
  • On‑call duties may be required.
