Nurse; RN​/LPN, Casual On-Call - Rest

Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional nursing services for residents of the Gallatin Rest Home.

WORK SHIFT: Nurses work various shifts according to facility needs and their availability. Minimum of 2 shifts per month providing shifts are available.
Applicants for this position must be certified to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Montana; must have thorough knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing; medical terminology and the effects of medication and treatment; supervisory principles and practices; and the ability to apply knowledge; supervise the work of others; maintain accurate medical charts and records;

handle sensitive and confidential information; communicate effectively both in writing and verbally; provide professional nursing care to aged and handicapped individuals; react well in emergency situations; direct, instruct and oversee the work of subordinate personnel; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Completion of an approved course in professional nursing, license to practice professional nursing in the state of Montana.
Two (2) years work experience in a similar health care setting affording the opportunity to demonstrate supervisory capabilities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent Medical Health Benefits – Group health benefits, including dental and vision coverage, are available to eligible County employees. The medical health benefits premium is covered for full-time employees. The County contribution is pro-rated on hours paid for part-time employees. The employee pays the premium portion for dependent coverage. Family health benefits coverage is $205.00 per pay period.
Medical deductible is $400 for an individual and $1,000 for a family.

Paid Parental Leave (PPL) - In recognition of the importance of bonding and care of a newborn child or a child placed for adoption, Gallatin County provides 240 hours of PPL to eligible full-time employees. The hours are pro-rated for part-time employees.
