Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 18 months of recent experience and a current MT or compact RN license for a variable day shift with call.

• Position based in a hospital operating room setting
• Role includes circulating and scrub responsibilities
• Variable day shift schedule that includes call requirements
• Flexible coverage for all shifts as needed
• Assignment is for a 13-week contract
• Responsible for planning and implementing patient and family education
• Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to deliver care
• Must comply with hospital stroke care education and annual competency requirements
• Requires sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in stressful environments
• Expected to display professionalism, discretion, and maintain confidentiality
• Self-direction and strong teamwork skills are essential
• Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances

• Active MT or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree, Associate’s degree, or Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility for consideration
• Preferred: CNOR certification
• Preferred:
  At least 1 year experience in circulating and/or scrub roles
