Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Competence in and willingness to practice modified primary nursing
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Responsibilities

• ICU/Coronary Care unit within a hospital setting
• Variable shift schedule including 3 12-hour shifts and 3 call shifts per week
• On-call responsibilities required to respond promptly to patient or organizational needs
• May require working beyond standard hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans
• Provides patient and family education and promotes a safe care environment
• Participates in stroke-specific education, including initial and annual cerebrovascular disease training
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or other circumstances
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Works in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment requiring sound judgment and professionalism
