Cloud Engineer - Software, Software Architect, Software Engineer
Engineers who can explain Persuasion to a skeptic and still ship by Friday tend to thrive in our Principal Software Engineer role in Bozeman. At Cloud Scale Systems, $138,000 - $214,000 buys a principal seat, but 9 years of Redis buys you the ownership that comes with it.
Key Responsibilities- Keep Cloud Scale Systems's Kubernetes CI under ten minutes so Bozeman, MT engineers stay in flow
- Keep the technology Kubernetes service humming through Bozeman's holiday traffic surge
- Hunt down the latency spikes nobody at Cloud Scale Systems can explain
- Sketch Coaching sequence diagrams that make the technology flow obvious to everyone
- Own data integrity across Cloud Scale Systems's Elasticsearch stores so Bozeman numbers never lie
- A MT work history, or strong reasons you'll thrive here anyway
- Willingness to commute to Bozeman, MT or work flexibly as needed
- Principal-caliber judgment about when to elevate and when to take X
- A communicator who can disagree without making it personal
- A steady hand when three priorities all claim to be number one
- Hands-on Ruby on Rails experience that survives a whiteboard interview
Three things define Cloud Scale Systems: a Bozeman address, a low-drama culture, and a near-religious devotion to Kubernetes. We celebrate the person who asks the dumb question that saves the whole technology project.
At Cloud Scale Systems, $138,000 - $214,000 is just the opener; the mentorship, benefits, and Bozeman, MT flexibility are where the offer gets good.
Hiring as we speak in Bozeman, with daily reviews still underway.
