General Practice Accountant – Brackley – £40,000 to £50,000 – Accountancy practice experience required – No sponsorship available

A well-established accountancy practice in Brackley is looking for a General Practice Accountant to join their team. This is a broad, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys the variety of practice work rather than being pushed into one narrow corner. You will be working with a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, handling tax work, reviewing bookkeeping and VAT where needed, and acting as a trusted point of contact for clients.

The firm is looking for someone who can come in, take ownership, and be a reliable pair of hands. You do not need to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need to be confident with clients, technically solid, and comfortable managing a mixed workload.

• Preparing year‑end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Corporation tax and personal tax work
• Client contact and relationship management
• Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts where required
• Supporting junior team members
• Helping clients with general advice and queries

• Recent experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts preparation experience
• A good working knowledge of tax
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• ACCA, ACA or AAT qualification would be useful, but QBE candidates will also be considered
