AboutThe Role
Are you passionate about engineering and looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly competent and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based at our Brackley site. There is an opportunity for the role to be undertaken by engineering graduates as well as experienced professionals.
As a Reliability Engineer you’ll work Monday‑to‑Friday 08:00‑17:00 and be responsible for an area within the operational environment. Your duties will include monitoring equipment downtime, analysing trends to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Reliability/Asset Care Manager, responsible for all equipment in an area
- Maintain a high level of reliability and availability of factory equipment through an effective planned maintenance regime
- Responsible for the gathering and analysis of equipment efficiency and downtime to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Raise planned maintenance or reactive maintenance jobs for the respective area
- Review all completed job sheets in the respective area
- Produce downtime data for weekly meetings
- Lead and support installation and capital projects
- Communicate and collaborate with other colleagues, suppliers and contractors
- Understand engineering and operational KPI’s and identify areas for improvement
- Interact with on‑shift engineers and other site engineering teams to resolve challenging equipment problems
- Support the Site Principal Engineer and engineering peers to develop robust weekly and monthly maintenance plans that improve asset availability and equipment performance
- Coordinate OEM engineer service visits with production and planning teams and schedule further work resulting from inspections
- Oversee equipment calibrations and complete and review PUWER assessments to maintain equipment compliance
- Engineering qualification above L3 (Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; HND/HNC or L3 engineering qualification may be considered on experience)
- Experience gained from an engineering maintenance environment
- Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to multi‑task and thrive in a timeline‑driven environment
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Ability to problem‑solve
- Strong analytical skills
- Good IT ability
- Knowledge of CMMS system (Mainsaver/Spidex)
- CAD experience
- Experience in managing projects
- On‑site contractor management
