Clinical Lead – Nursing Home

£48,000 per annum – Brackley, West Northamptonshire

About the role:
  • Work closely with nurses and carers to maintain the highest standards of clinical care and governance.
  • Use professional judgement to make clinical decisions, manage projects, and evolve care levels to meet every resident’s needs.
  • Provide effective leadership on clinical excellence, including training and competency development.
  • Ensure CQC compliance and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of guidelines.
  • Participate in the on‑call service and rota cover for clinically related matters and out‑of‑office hours.
  • Complete floor shifts to meet the Home’s needs.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and professionals to enhance care quality and support residents, managers, and staff.
  • Deliver specialist training and mentoring to keep the team updated with the latest clinical developments.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and conduct yourself professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Attend meetings and assessments as required.
  • Effectively manage your own workload, prioritise tasks and maintain excellent written and verbal communication and record keeping.
  • Maintain knowledge of residents’ care plans.
Essential skill and qualifications for this role:
  • Strong clinical skillset and confidence to lead the nursing team.
  • Prior management experience or experience of leading a small team.
  • Ability to make clinical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
  • A passion for promoting best nursing practice and ability to train, support and mentor others.
  • A desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC and compliance.
