Our client, a leading name in the Plant Hire sector, is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead their busy and successful Brackley operation.

You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the depot, ensuring high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and team performance.

• Ensure customer enquiries are handled promptly and professionally (counter, phone, and email)
• Oversee customer contracts and ensure systems are accurate and up to date
• Ensure depot procedures, policies, and systems are followed consistently
• Drive strong communication between sales, logistics, accounts, and procurement teams
• Ensure efficient driver routing and daily planning
• Maintain company vans and fleet standards
• Ensure staff are trained, compliant, and professionally presented
• Lead, motivate, and manage depot teams day to day
• Manage holidays, uniforms, and staffing levels
• Ensure the depot is fully operational during business hours
• Take a hands‑on approach when required to support customers and business objectives
• Produce reports in line with company requirements
• Maintain strong communication across departments

• Proven leadership or depot/branch management experience
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and people management ability
• Good IT and system literacy
• Solid industry knowledge (hire, plant, tools, or similar sectors preferred)
• Strong numeracy and organisational skills
• Flexible, proactive, and hands‑on work ethic
