Behaviour Support - Bracknell

An amazing school in Bracknell is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students. The role is to start as soon as possible.

The role focuses on supporting students to manage and process their emotions healthily and ensuring they have access to effective coping strategies both at school and at home.

As a dedicated Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant, your work will involve delivering tailored interventions for students who need it most. You will also support students with challenging behaviour in the classroom, helping them develop tools for good mental health.

This opportunity will provide valuable experience and can pave the way for careers in psychology or education.

Your responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Foster trusting and supportive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and resilience
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring student engagement
  • Monitor student progress and communicate feedback to teachers and parents
  • Model healthy coping strategies and social skills
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
  • Support students with autism through individualised support and therapeutic strategies
  • Help students develop social communication skills
