Hours: 32.08 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm.

St Michael’s Easthampstead CE VA Primary School is a friendly school with a caring Christian ethos where all staff are committed to ensuring every child achieves to the best of their ability. We have an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to start work in our lovely school with flexibility around year groups (KS1/KS2).

What we are looking for

  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • An interest in Sports & PE would be ideal but not essential
The right candidate will
  • Have a nurturing outlook and approach
  • Deliver high quality support and interventions for both groups and individuals
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Have an ability to work using their own initiative
  • Have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
  • Adapt to changing situations and learn new skills
  • Be resilient and have good behaviour management
  • Be a team player and work closely with other staff members within the school
  • Have experience of working with children, ideally those with SEN
  • Have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Able to deliver prepared lessons to cover staff absence
