A highly supportive specialist school in the Bracknell area is seeking a Graduate Psychology & Criminology Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. You will work closely with children and young people with:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Communication and sensory needs
- Complex medical and physical needs
Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day
- Assist pupils with their educational, social, and emotional development
- Support personalised learning activities and interventions
- Help students develop communication, independence, and life skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialist professionals
- Build positive relationships with pupils and their families
- Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- A degree in Psychology, Criminology
, or a related subject - Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Patient, resilient, and compassionate nature
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Commitment to making a difference in young people's lives
No previous school or SEN experience is required. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
