Kingston Barnes are recruiting for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our client in the manufacturing sector.

Working within the manufacturing sector, this rolewill expect you to provide preventative maintenance and mechanical service and support to the site, ensuring continuous improvement in the standards of mechanical engineering, health and safety and environmental performance, such that set business objectives are met. Responsibilities Reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment PPM's Transmission belt inspection and changing Inspection of bearings and couplings, alignment checking Diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns.

Identifying failure modes of plant equipment and returning the equipment to operation safely and in a reasonable timescale. Requirements You will have a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of fitting, turning and general fabrication, rigging and lifting of heavy loads. You should possess a formal technical qualification in Mechanical Craft i.e. NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Mechanical or equivalent.
