• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with various departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any queries.
• Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations and best practices.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to support effective financial planning.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance team.
• Utilize financial software and tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and financial management tools, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
