Credit Controller

Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounts receivable and credit control experience who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries, and ensuring the smooth management of customer accounts.

Working as part of a supportive finance function, you will take responsibility for monitoring customer credit exposure, processing incoming payments, managing outstanding debt, and supporting the wider accounts team with a range of finance administration duties.

Salary £32k - £35k DOE

14 month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and maintaining new customer accounts in line with company credit procedures.
• Reviewing customer creditworthiness and updating account information as required.
• Monitoring customer credit limits and highlighting any concerns to management.
• Processing and allocating payments received via bank transfer, direct debit, cheque, and card payments.
• Reconciling payment transactions and ensuring accurate posting within the accounting system.
• Producing customer statements and ensuring they are issued in a timely manner.
• Managing aged debt and proactively chasing outstanding balances.
