Create Hope is a Christian charity that provides emotional support to children, young people, and families in Berkshire and Wiltshire. We deliver a wide range of therapeutic services, including play and creative therapy, systemic family therapy, couples therapy, NVR therapy, trauma therapy, and embodiment psychotherapy. Additionally, we offer accredited training for counsellors and individuals pursuing careers in creative and play therapy through our Project Jabez training, accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.

Our services extend to providing support programs for parents and training for schools, statutory bodies, voluntary agencies, and churches.

Role Description

This is a part-time Play Therapist position with a hybrid working arrangement based in Bracknell. The role involves using play and creative techniques to provide therapeutic support to children in need of emotional and psychological assistance. Day-to-day tasks include conducting therapy sessions, developing tailored therapy plans, and working closely with families, educators, and other professionals to support children's well-being. The role requires a combination of in-person sessions in Bracknell and remote administrative tasks or communication from home.

Qualifications
  • Training and expertise in Play Therapy or Art Therapy
  • Professional registration or certification as a Registered Play Therapist
  • Experience and proficiency in working with children and delivering child therapy
  • Ability to integrate creative therapeutic approaches to address emotional and psychological challenges
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with families or in educational, community, or faith-based settings is a plus
  • Relevant degree or certification in Play Therapy, Art Therapy, or a related field
