Role Overview

The Product Marketing Director will establish and scale the product marketing function at Basis from the ground up, shaping how the global enterprise market understands and adopts Intelligent Change Management.

This is a foundational leadership role with clear ownership, positioning, messaging, competitive strategy, and go-to-market execution. You will define how enterprises think about SAP change and why Basis Technologies is the strategic partner that enables SAP to move at the speed of business.

You must deeply understand the realities of SAP-led and ERP-centric enterprises and be able to turn complex technical capability into clear, compelling stories that influence.

This role is ideal for a senior product marketing leader who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building capability from scratch, and is passionate about technology solving complex enterprise challenges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product Positioning & Messaging
  • Define compelling, differentiated messaging that positions Basis Technologies as the leader in intelligent SAP change.
  • Articulate how our solutions help enterprises change SAP at the speed of business.
  • Develop value propositions aligned to enterprise pain points, industry needs, and transformation journeys.
2. Market & Customer Insight
  • Build a deep understanding of the global enterprise SAP market – including market trends, SAP modernization drivers, customer maturity levels, and barriers to adoption.
  • Identify patterns across industries and geographies that influence SAP change behaviour.
  • Translate insights into targeted messaging, personas, and GTM strategy.
3. Go-To-Market Leadership
  • Own GTM strategy and execution for new product launches, intelligent capabilities, and solution updates.
  • Define target audiences, adoption paths, and market education programs.
  • Equip Sales and Customer Success to confidently explain why enterprises must adopt intelligent SAP change.
4. Competitive & Ecosystem Intelligence
  • Map the evolving SAP ecosystem, including AI, automation, and testing technologies.
  • Develop competitive positioning, battle cards, and insights that help Sales win.
  • Provide market-level feedback to Product on opportunities, gaps, and differentiation.
5. Content & Thought Leadership
  • Create high-impact thought leadership, including whitepapers, solution briefs, webinars, presentations, and website messaging that educate the market on intelligent SAP change.
  • Build narratives around business agility, digital transformation challenges, and intelligence-led SAP modernization.
  • Support analyst relations and industry events with crisp, insight-led storytelling.
6. Sales & Field Enablement
  • Deliver the tools Sales needs to position our solutions effectively: messaging guides, pitch decks, persona frameworks, competitive insights, and talk tracks.
  • Train global teams on how to articulate the value of intelligent SAP change management.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Product Management to ensure product capabilities align to market needs and are communicated clearly.
  • Work with Content and Demand Gen to convert market insights into effective Point of View engagement pieces, campaigns and segmentation.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to source stories, validate messaging, and shape adoption paths.
Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 7–10+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise B2B software.
  • Deep understanding of SAP-led or ERP-centric enterprises and the realities of changing mission‑critical systems.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives that influence market behaviour.
