Duration: 18-month contract
Rate:
Up to £77 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a leading organisation within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for coordinating post‑procurement supply chain activities, managing supplier performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of contracts to agreed timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, production, and project teams to maintain supply chain efficiency while supporting strategic supplier relationships and long‑term contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the end‑to‑end supply chain following procurement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and supplier base.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Support negotiations for long‑term supplier agreements and contract renewals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Maintain and update ERP systems to a high standard.
- Collaborate with Operations, Production, and Project teams to ensure contracts are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Produce analytical reports and supply chain performance metrics to support business decision‑making.
- Maintain commercial governance, compliance, and policy adherence throughout supplier management activities.
- Minimum 5‑7 years' experience within Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement.
- Experience operating within highly regulated industries such as defence, aerospace, public sector, nuclear, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) within manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrable experience managing supplier performance and supporting contract delivery.
- Proven supplier negotiation experience.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining effective working relationships.
- Sound understanding of commercial governance, compliance, and policy requirements.

Due to the sensitivity of this role, candidates will be required to hold, or be able to gain and maintain, the required level of Security Clearance.
