Are you a SCPHN qualified Health visitor looking for a new challenge? Would you thrive working within an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking team? Here in Wokingham we are a lovely team with a real sense of team spirit and we are looking for someone who shares our values to join our 0‑19 service.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement outcome‑focused care plans and evaluate care given in partnership with clients, in accordance with the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families.
  • Conduct new birth visits, targeted interventions and safeguarding work in collaboration with partners, supporting parents with infant feeding.
  • Attend strategy and multi‑professional meetings.
  • Develop and facilitate Health Visiting drop‑in clinics, health promotion activities and groups.
Qualifications
  • Registered Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) with an active NMC register.
  • Non‑medical prescriber or willingness to undertake prescriber training (fully supported).
  • Valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Experience in managing cases where a child has a protection plan.
  • High standard of clinical work, basic IT skills and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Knowledge of current policies and key drivers to improve child health outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, culturally aware, reflective, innovative and able to delegate appropriately.
  • Flexibility to respond to service needs and willingness to travel homes across Berkshire.
