The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for children and young people. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will provide day-to-day care and support while helping young people develop confidence, resilience, independence, and essential life skills. You will contribute to a therapeutic environment where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children and young people with their day-to-day care, wellbeing, and development.
  • Build positive relationships and provide consistent emotional support.

About You

We're looking for a compassionate, resilient individual who is committed to supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.

You will need:

  • A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is essential.
  • Experience supporting children or adults with complex needs in residential care, supported living, community, or education settings.
  • The ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviours calmly.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
  • Good communication skills and confidence working as part of a team.
  • Motivation to learn, develop, and progress within residential childcare.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • A full driving licence.
