3.5T Flooring Delivery Driver Temp To Perm

Overview

Driver Hire Reading are recruiting a 3.5T Delivery Driver on a 13 week Temp to Perm to work for a flooring specialist company based in Bracknell.

The role involves working Tuesday to Friday (no work Saturday, Sunday or Monday). Start times are 7.30am. Working hours are 44 hours per week, with flexibility required to meet operational commitments. A high degree of flexibility is required to ensure availability at key operational times. This may include a reasonable amount of additional hours to meet business needs.

This role is not just about driving and delivering. Drivers spend much of their day loading up, fuelling, checking the van is clean and fit for the next route and calling customers to ensure they know what time their delivery will arrive. This is a multi-drop role working in local areas with a typical day consisting of 10-20 deliveries with potential heavy manual handling involved.

• To deliver the highest standard of service and be a brand ambassador for the business.
• Provide an efficient and First in Class' delivery service to customers.
• Drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct procedures.
• To always adhere to the Health & Safety Policies and procedures.
• Complete a daily vehicle and equipment pre-trip and post trip check using our Defect reporting processes and systems.
• Ensure all customer delivery details are captured accurately via use of the PDA system.

• A great customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach to deliver outstanding results.
• A fully adaptable approach to work.
• The ability to use your own initiative to ensure the customer receives their goods in a safe and timely manner.
• Driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Experience of working in a multi-drop environment.
• Minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
• Delivery driving: 2 years (required).
• Category B Driving Licence (required).

£30,316.00 per year
