Johnson Messal Bristow PLLC is seeking a Tax Supervisor Accountant to join our firm. The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple tax engagements independently, thrive in tackling complex tax challenges, and be passionate about fostering the growth of our team members.

Duties and responsibilities:

Prepare complex individual and business tax returns.

Review all levels of tax returns prepared by others and provide clear review notes.

Identifies tax issues and opportunities on complex tax returns.

Uses research tools as appropriate to answer questions during tax planning assignments.

Collaborate with Managers or Partners to develop innovative tax strategies.

Provide leadership by training, directing, and supervising junior staff.

Maintain positive ongoing relationships with clients and their team of advisors.

Assist in developing innovative solutions for clients and firm.

Prepares routine correspondence to clients, taxing authority agents, and other third parties as directed.

Participates in local civic, charitable, business, and other organizations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills &

Qualifications:

CPA or Enrolled Agent license is required

Master’s Degree preferred

Minimum 5+ years of recent public accounting experience, specializing in tax

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Analytical skills with detail orientation

Availability to work overtime during tax season
