Job Overview

As we continue our evolution and growth into a leading HCM provider to businesses, we are seeking our next Senior Business Analyst, Profit Keeper. You will transform financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive franchisee and franchisor profitability, performance, and overall brand growth. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams – product, operations, finance, and technology – to gather, normalize, and interpret financial, payroll, point‑of‑sale, and workforce data.

Your role includes defining business requirements, designing dashboard and reporting solutions, benchmarking franchisee performance, and recommending best practices.

Essential Job Functions Business Requirements Definition
  • Gather business requirements and write application specifications for internal departments and external clients.
  • Write requirements in an Agile format (user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria).
  • Investigate and solve a wide range of problems each day using deductive problem‑solving skills.
  • Analyze support requests for root cause, determine if it can be prevented by changes in software or processes, and document recommendations.
Data Analysis
  • Extract data from relational databases.
  • Identify data inconsistencies as system setup or operational process issues.
  • Provide recommendations on changes in system setup or processes based on data.
  • Work under pressure to assess operational issues within a short timeframe.
Process Improvement
  • Conduct root cause analysis.
  • Determine unit and cycle times to identify bottlenecks.
  • Lead functional area or business groups in process improvement initiatives.
  • Anticipate and develop change management strategies.
  • Recommend changes in controls by identifying problems in data or current processes.
Applications Development Support
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing.
  • Document issues to expedite bug fixes or code changes.
  • Assist with new releases, hot fixes, QA, and demos.
  • Train internal service team on new and existing functionality.
  • Troubleshoot client specific or system wide issues.
  • Engage customers and end‑users to understand operational challenges and to develop custom modifications or reports.
  • Work with Operations Teams to improve quality and productivity.
  • Participate in HRIS platform conversions.
Operations Support
  • Troubleshoot client specific or system wide issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis.
  • Engage customers and end‑users to understand operational challenges.

  • Improve quality and productivity with Operations Teams.
  • Participate in HRIS platform conversions.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or 5‑7+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years functional experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Financial Reporting (multiple areas preferred).
  • 7‑10 years of business analyst experience translating needs into functional requirements and process change to improve quality, productivity, and client retention.
  • 5+ years experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience writing SQL or using data‑extraction tools from RDBMS.
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms and data warehouse concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access), SQL, RDBMS query tools.
  • Experience with Profit Keeper and Power

    BI (training provided).
  • Passion for process improvement, innovation and problem solving.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both non‑technical and highly technical users.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
