ResponsibilitiesCamper Supervision and Safety
- Maintain constant visual and auditory supervision of campers during all activities.
- Enforce all safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
- Monitor the well‑being of campers and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
Activity Planning and Leadership
- Plan, organize, and lead diverse activities such as arts, sports, and team‑building.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of all campers, including those with special needs.
Camper Development and Mentorship
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating responsibility, patience, integrity, and enthusiasm.
- Guide campers to meet personal goals and develop social skills.
- Address conflicts in a fair, calm, and respectful manner.
Communication and Administration
- Communicate with parents and staff.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Assist with program setup, breakdown, and cleanliness.
Must be 16‑18 years old (depending on camp policy). Prior experience in youth programs or camps is preferred. High school degree or equivalent typically required.
Skills and AbilitiesStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and be an independent problem‑solver. Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Physical ability to participate in camp activities and lift up to 50 pounds. Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification;
Lifeguard certification preferred if water activities are involved.
Background check and drug test required upon offer.
