Job DescriptionThe duties would include but not be limited to, provide commercial building and residential housing scope of work inspections to verify request for payment align with amount of work completed (Not Building Permit Inspection), inspection reports, and construction management services, assist with construction bids: review for accuracy and selection assistance, make recommendation to the County and property owner, facilitate pre construction meeting with property owner(s) and contractor;
coordinate with property owner(s) to prepare Scope of Work and schedule; perform draw inspections: inspect completed work and document with photographs, prepare, authorize and obtain property owner’s authorization on all pay requests from contractor, obtain all warranty information and Release of Liens from contractor, and verify that all building construction permits are obtained and that building and fire inspections are performed and passed, when applicable;
coordinating with other County staff for compliance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage requirements: communicating with subcontractors regarding requirements, delivering and collecting of Federal required forms and information, and coordinating employee interviews to be conducted by County staff.
