We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Program Director to lead and develop the new Family Medicine Residency Program at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, located in Lakewood Ranch, FL. This role is central to the growth of Graduate Medical Education (GME) in Florida, as we prepare to launch a Family Medicine residency program, with the goal of welcoming our first cohort in July 2027.
Position Highlights
- Responsible for the Family Medicine Residency Program, ensuring a supportive and effective educational environment for resident development in all ACGME competency standards.
- Initial 10–16 hours per week in a consulting capacity, with opportunity for clinical practice. After Initial Accreditation, transition to 0.5 FTE as Program Director.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certified by ABFM/AOBFM, with specialty expertise.
- Preferred: at least 3 years in an FM residency program Core Faculty, Associate Program Director, or Program Director, with proven educational and administrative experience.
- Minimum 3 years of recent documented experience in an accredited GME program.
- Demonstrated leadership and education skills, with scholarly activities or research.
- Strong communication abilities and commitment to collaborative, high‑quality care.
