The Tutor (Part-Time) will assist in tutoring middle and high school students in math.

• Tutor students spanning grades 6-12 in select academic disciplines such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Language Arts, History, SAT/ACT Test prep, Economics
• Manage group tutoring when needed
• Passionate about the progress of the student’s development
• Motivate students to have a positive relationship with learning
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment
• Model and encourage collaborative study strategies
• Provide help with homework, lessons, exam preparation and enrichment for students of various grade levels
• Assess students’ support needs and their difficulties
• Help students catch up in school subjects where they have fallen behind

• Commit to at least 10 hours of work per week
• Full mastery and experience of subject area
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Relate to adolescents for effective content support
• Enthusiastic in delivery of material
• Ability to differentiate and think creatively
• Strong logic and content vocabulary
• Accurate and consistent data entry

• Bilingual
• ESE experience
• ELL experience
• Microsoft 365
