MINISTRY

PURPOSE:

To build a foundation on the Word of God in the children of Bayside. We accomplish this through a Bible-driven curriculum, excellent weekend experiences, and relationships built through small groups.

THIS POSITION SERVES:
Bayside Kids Special Space Ministry across all campuses, providing leadership, curriculum support, and resources to Ministry Aides while ensuring safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.

POSITION STATUS:
Part Time/Hourly

WORK SCHEDULE:

Flexible weekday hours for curriculum preparation, meetings, and communication with Resourcing. Weekend services as scheduled to provide support and oversight to campus Ministry Aides.

REPORTS TO:

Bayside Kids Executive Director

• Maintains a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude in all interactions with children, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Provide leadership, encouragement, and ongoing support to Special Space Ministry Aides across all Bayside Kids campuses.
• Partner with the Bayside Kids Executive Director and Resourcing Team to develop and adapt curriculum that aligns with Bayside Kids’ biblical teaching, monthly themes, and ministry vision.
• Assist in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum activities and resources that meet the unique learning needs of children in Special Space.
• Oversee the preparation and organization of monthly curriculum boxes, ensuring campuses receive the necessary materials and resources.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Ministry Aides and Bayside Kids Resourcing, communicating needs, feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide weekend support to campus Ministry Aides, ensuring classroom environments are safe, welcoming, organized, and conducive to learning.
• Ensure Special Space classrooms are following Bayside Kids safety policies, procedures, and standards of excellence.
• Lead monthly Ministry Aide meetings to provide training, curriculum updates, encouragement, and alignment across campuses.
• Advocate for the needs of Special Space Ministry Aides, ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources necessary to effectively serve children and families.

• Collaborate with the Bayside Kids Executive Director and Resourcing Team to continually improve

• Special Space curriculum consistently aligns with Bayside Kids’ biblical content, vision, and standards.
• Curriculum boxes are prepared accurately and distributed on time.
• Ministry Aides feel supported, equipped, and connected to Bayside Kids Resourcing.
• Safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environments that meet Bayside Kids quality standards.
• Consistent communication and collaboration with the Bayside Kids Executive Director and Resourcing Team.
• Monthly Ministry Aide meetings are organized, productive, and provide meaningful training and support.
• Consistent implementation of classroom procedures, curriculum, and safety standards across campuses.
• Positive relationships with Ministry Aides, campus Kids Staff, and volunteers.
