Ballard has incredible projects and work that will double our revenue in 2024. We are seeking top talent with a passion for precision and a track record of delivering accurate estimates in the construction industry. The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our business, bringing projects to fruition. This position will be responsible for collaborating on bid and proposal preparation, negotiating contracts with clients, and working closely with design teams, engineers, and general contractors to provide value engineering solutions across heavy civil, marine, and underwater disciplines.

This position will also be expected to provide guidance and training to other estimating personnel in the company's estimating systems and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

• Experience working in heavy civil/marine construction with at least ten years of combined construction and estimating experience
• HCSS Heavy Bid experience a plus
• Working knowledge of standard marine and heavy civil construction practices
• Experience in estimating projects with values up to $50 million
  
  Experience working on Joint Venture pursuits a plus
• Experience working on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract projects a plus

• Working knowledge of standard marine construction practices
• Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, P6, and AutoCAD
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to contribute to proposal preparation
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently.
