Primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities
- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial statements to support informed decision-making.
- Drive financial innovation by identifying new revenue opportunities and cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining a focus on quality care.
- Assist the CFO in developing and executing long‑range financial strategies, including capital planning, service line profitability analysis, and financial modeling for new initiatives or partnerships.
- Conduct operational and financial analysis to support value‑based care models and alternative payment methodologies.
- Serve as the principal point of contact for the Division leaders, providing comprehensive financial reporting, actionable insights to improve financial performance and efficiency, and strategic analysis.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting related to patient billing, collections, and reimbursement, and identify opportunities to improve cash flow and reduce revenue leakage.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including CMS, HIPAA, OIG, and other regulatory bodies.
- Oversee all treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, liquidity forecasting, and investment oversight.
- Lead internal and external audits, including those required by government payors, and ensure all documentation and reporting is ready.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to manage financial risk and ensure adherence to healthcare‑specific regulations.
- Develop and implement financial risk management strategies to minimize exposure to financial, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Provide visionary leadership to the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that monthly financial reporting packages and cash flow projection are prepared accurately and timely, for internal distribution and Board meetings.
- Consistently analyzes financial data and budget management to improve financial performance and ensure effective alignment of resources.

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the colleague is required to sit for long periods of time. Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to type using a computer keyboard, visually read information of a computer monitor and paper documents. Requires ability to orally communicate information over the telephone, in person and hear responses.
Requires ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Educational/Professional- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA required; MBA or Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within a healthcare organization.
- Proven experience in leading financial operations in a complex healthcare environment, with deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, revenue cycle management, and financial compliance.
- Strong track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that support operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
