Overview
The Laboratory Supervisor (Transfusion) oversees the technical and operational performance of the Transfusion Services section. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety standards while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in transfusion testing and blood product management. The position serves as a departmental resource, coordinating daily workflow, resolving technical issues, supporting quality initiatives, and promoting collaboration across the laboratory and clinical departments.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency in transfusion testing and blood product management.
- Coordinate daily workflow and resolve technical issues.
- Support quality initiatives and promote collaboration across clinical departments.
- Serve as a departmental resource and demonstrate service excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- State of Florida Supervisory License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Minimum of three years of laboratory experience required.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification preferred.
