Mammography Tech Imaging Per Diem Varied

Overview

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs routine and diagnostic mammography at a highly technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis. Assist the Radiologist and/or surgeon during minimally invasive biopsy procedures. Maintain Quality Control standards and documentation. Other duties as assigned.

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures under the Radiologist's supervision.
• Assist Radiologist and/or surgeon during minimally invasive biopsy procedures.

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in all areas of mammography to include stereotactic biopsy and needle localization. Digital mammography experience preferred.
• Registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control in the Discipline of Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required. Competent in quality control measures (MQSA).
