Responsibilities
We have an open Medical Assistant position at MPA - Women's Oncology. As we grow, we need to increase our clinical team. Be part of our growth and join our team.
This position is on‑site at 3425 University Parkway, Sarasota, FL.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties, including assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, venipuncture, and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.
- Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record in accordance with MPA guideline.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Assist in covering front desk as required.
- General medical procedures.
- Understand end‑of‑day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Travel to and work at other facilities as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology required.
- Experience with patient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical experience preferred.
- Job required being reliable, responsible, dependable.
- Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
