Position Summary:

For ALL Pharmacists:
Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care primarily through providing service excellence, clinical services, distributive functions, education, and a commitment to the department’s mission. He/she shall possess characteristics to successfully fulfill their responsibilities, including effective communication, flexibility, attention to detail, initiative, cooperation, and a high level of knowledge and skills applicable to their area of practice. He/she will regularly profile orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies, provide drug information, and initiate/modify drug therapy based on medical staff approved policies and protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) from an accredited institution
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution, preferred
Current Pharmacist License in the State of Florida
Board Certification (BCPS), preferred
Knowledge of hospital based information system, reporting features, and Microsoft Office
Strong proficiency in computer literacy including but not limited to MS Office, Pharmacy clinical systems (Cerner), and Pyxis technologies, preferred
