Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and resolve level 2 technical problems
  • Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support
  • Document, track, and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • Monitor daily backup process
  • Monitor Anti‑virus/Anti‑spam server
  • Telephony duties: install telephone/Fax, add users, program voicemail boxes, generate a report on phone statistics, and maintain users on the system
  • Provide “on‑call” support to customers and internal groups
  • Install and test software updates and patches to support applications and various operating systems
  • Install PC hardware/software, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Provide problem‑solving and troubleshooting
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant technical experience required
  • A+, MCP or related certification a plus
  • Operating System:
    Windows 7, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, Linux
  • Client Application Software:
    Microsoft Office 2000, XP Office, Telnet, Citrix client
  • Email Server: MS Exchange 2000
  • Anti‑Virus:
    Sophos Corporate
  • Backup Server: VERITAS Backup
  • Utilities:
    Ghosts, VNC;
    Networking: TCP/IP on LAN/WAN environment
Summary

The Technical Support Level II position provides level 2 PC hardware/software, telephone/fax/voicemail, and networking support to internal departments.
