- Support and enhance the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and efficient ETL operations.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable on‑premise and/or cloud‑based data platforms that integrate data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and store structured and unstructured data using modern data engineering tools.
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
- Design and implement optimized data models to support reporting, advanced analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Contribute to overall data architecture standards and best practices.
- Establish and maintain best practices related to data quality, metadata management, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure data assets meet internal governance standards and external compliance requirements.
- Support self‑service analytics, real‑time data processing, and advanced analytics use cases by leveraging modern data technologies such as data lakes, streaming platforms, and No
SQL databases.
- Partner with IT, analytics, and business teams to align data initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Mentor junior team members and promote a data‑driven culture.
- Participate in project planning, task assignment, and progress tracking.
- Monitor and manage assigned work through a ticketing system.
- Contribute to reporting initiatives for senior leadership.
- Support multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical roles.
- Experience working within highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data warehouse concepts and relational data models.
- Ability to quickly learn and integrate new data sources into existing data platforms.
- Experience implementing cloud‑based data platforms (Azure preferred).
- Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks).
- Exposure to big data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka).
- Familiarity with API‑driven data integrations.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, CCPA).
- Exposure to data mesh architectures, machine learning, or MLOps is a plus.
- Experience using ticketing/project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑changing environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
