Civil Defense Attorney

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed coverage analysis and prepare related legal opinions
• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including motion practice and court appearances
• Take and defend depositions and Examinations Under Oath (EUOs)
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Handle a range of insurance defense matters, including coverage analysis, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
• Work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Work on tasks related to our field of practice from our various Florida offices

• Active license to practice law in Florida (Ohio license a plus)
• At least 5-10 years of litigation experience, ideally with a background in property and casualty insurance coverage
• Property and casualty insurance coverage experience required
• Experience with wills, trusts, and estates preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self‑motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
• Knowledge on insurance coverage matters
• Ability to be a self‑starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in our field is definitely a plus, but this role can equally be a successful fit for someone who works well behind the scenes and can turn out projects on files that aren't necessarily related to each other period

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year (negotiable for the ideal candidate)
