Manager in Training (FT) – Venice/Sarasota

Goodwill Manasota is looking for a Manager in Training to lead our Venice/Sarasota location. This full‑time role offers a consistent 40‑hour work week and an annual salary of $50,200.

As a Manager in Training you will:

• Ensure open and honest communication and a safe work environment.
• Promote Goodwill’s drug‑free workplace and core values.
• Represent zero tolerance for harassment, substance abuse, and workplace violence.
• Deliver 100% world‑class customer service.
• Hire, train, develop, supervise, and evaluate team members.
• Develop and supervise Assistant Team Leaders, GGC key holders, and front‑end key holders.
• Operate the GGC within budgeted expense‑to‑revenue ratios and donor value.
• Steward donations through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow.
• Schedule and maintain labor and payroll in accordance with Goodwill policies.
• Maintain image, safety, and security of the GGC in accordance with GIMI policies.
• Order and maintain supplies and Goodwill property in a secure manner.
• Perform monthly safety site inspections, petty cash reporting, purchase orders, and report analysis.
• Maintain compliance with CARF standards and stay informed of product knowledge and industry trends.
• Attend in‑service training and participate in activities outside of Goodwill as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Leadership.

• Available to open the store at least twice per week and close at least twice per week.
• Approve payroll each payroll Monday and work a minimum of two Saturdays per month.
• Have a reliable means of transportation.

• Minimum two years of management/supervisory experience in a retail setting.
• Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
