Overview
We are seeking a Quality Inspector
- Metal Fabricator to become an integral part of our team!
The ideal candidate arrives for work on time and is receptive to learning. He/ she takes pride in their work and values being productive and efficient.
As a team member, you will always know where you stand and if standards are met, can be here as long as you desire. We have team members with 40+ years tenure as well as multigeneration.
Responsibilities- Follow processes as defined in procedures manual.
- Inspect parts and materials at all levels of production.
- Verify flat layouts meet drawing requirements.
- Inform supervisor of workload status and document any issues encountered.
- Keep work area neat, clean, and well organized to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prioritize workload and multitask in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Complete all required paperwork and checklists.
- Track, clean and calibrate inspection equipment.
- Communicate with all levels of management, production, suppliers, and customers.
- Completes assigned projects in allotted time with high quality.
- Assist in the development of work instructions and specification sheets in order to achieve product that meets customer specifications.
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision making.

- Able to identify different materials, finishes and grades.
- Knowledge base of a wide variety of different manufacturing processes.
- Able to read drawings and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Track and calibrate inspection equipment
- Able to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.
- Proficient at using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, protractors and other tools and gages.
- Able to identify, document, and obtain disposition of non conformances per the Quality Manual.
- Able to follow directions and work well without direct supervision.
- Able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
- Possess good organizational skills, maintain various hard copy and digital files
- Able to operate various types of computer programs and create reports.
