The Marketing Operations Director will lead efforts to ensure effective strategy, efficient investment, and accountability across marketing to achieve its objectives. This role encompasses ownership of marketing technology, process development, budget administration, and marketing analytics and governance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Partner with Marketing & business leadership to maintain the Marketing KPI & measurement framework that reflects Marketing and business goals. Develop the strategy and processes for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of marketing initiatives in alignment with the framework & marketing goals.
- Build and maintain streamlined processes, automation, and reporting using our Mar Tech infrastructure in support of the full Marketing team, including but not limited to demand campaigns, organic digital, and lifecycle efforts.
- Track and report on the entire lead-to-pipe-to-booking funnel, including volume, velocity, conversion stage-to-stage, and average values. Ensure funnel measures can be analyzed by key dimensions (e.g., industry, geo, and product as needed).
- Own the marketing technology roadmap, evaluating, selecting, implementing, and customizing tools to meet the needs of the marketing department. Maintain platform and database hygiene on an ongoing basis and in alignment with other systems, including but not limited to Salesforce and enablement tools. Partner with Sales Operations to identify, deploy, and support shared tools.
- Own the marketing budget in partnership with Marketing Leadership & Finance to ensure it reflects investments required to support Marketing & business goals. Maintain budget through year to ensure allocations are tracked properly and incorporated into ongoing replans and forecasting with Finance.
- Inform stakeholders across marketing, sales, and finance of insights on marketing performance to ensure cross-functional alignment on the best possible data‑driven marketing strategy. Assist in preparing presentations for key stakeholders and partners, including quarterly Board of Directors reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to define and solve complex problems, prioritize effectively, and deliver results quickly.
- Strong analytical and quantitative presentation skills, with the ability to translate raw data into business insights and actionable changes.
- Clear thinking and communication skills that build trust and effective working relationships across functions and hierarchies.
Experience: 5+ years of direct marketing operations experience in B2B SaaS and experience in a high‑velocity SMB go‑to‑market, experience with Hub Spot and SFDC, Salesforce campaigns, reporting and dashboards, familiarity with lead routing, intent marketing tools, and sales execution tools, and other relevant technologies, and proven experience in optimizing end‑to‑end lead flow, including lead scoring, routing, and sales executions.
