Registered Nurse Med Surg

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Med Surg Registered Nurse to join a 383-bed acute care medical center on Florida’s west coast. This facility offers award-winning specialty services including burn care, complex hand repair, a stroke center, and a Level II Trauma Center. Bradenton offers riverfront living, nature preserves, and beautiful white-sand beaches all within quick access to Sarasota, Tampa, and St.

Petersburg.

The Med Surg RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.

• Deliver safe, effective Med Surg nursing care
• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and evaluate patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education
• Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
• Safely perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving patients or equipment up to 50 lbs

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required
• BSN preferred

• Active Florida RN license or compact state equivalent
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Required
• ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience acute care preferred
• Experience in LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab accepted
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and communication skills
• Mandatory Onsite Interview required for offer consideration

• Hourly Rate: $30.76 - $41.50 (based on experience)
• Night Differential: $4.75/hr
• National Certification: Additional $2.00/hr
